A man was arrested by US Marshals in Middletown on Friday with the help of local law enforcement on charges of alleged murder from 2016.
According to a press release from US Marshal ServiceOn Friday afternoon, law enforcement arrested Devon Cox in the 1700 block of South Breiel Boulevard without incident.
Cox was charged and wanted by Fairborn police in 2019 for an incident that occurred in November 2016. According to the U.S. Marshals statement, the alleged charges include murder, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and felony assault.
Media Partner Enquirer Fox19 reported that Cox had previously been identified by police as a suspect in the 2016 murder of Jarrell Plummer, according to the Dayton Daily News.
Cox is now awaiting a court appearance on the charges against him, US Marshals said.
The U.S. Marshal’s Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team was assisted in Cox’s arrest by the Xenia, Fairborn, and Middletown Police Departments, as well as the County District Attorney’s Office. Green and Greene County Agencies for the Combined Drug Enforcement Task Force.
