Annual VOICES symposium partners with international law enforcement to address mass violence

NEW YORK, September 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — September 9 and 10, 2022, Voices Center for Resilience sponsors its 21st Annual Remembrance Symposium in partnership with the Leadership in Counterterrorism Alumni Association (LinCT-AA) and the International Support Network for Victims of Terrorism and Mass Violence (INVICTM). The event takes place at the NYC Marriott Downtown, 85 West Street, New York City. Registration is mandatory.

The event will take place in person and will be broadcast live. Media coverage is welcome in advance, during the two days on site and after the Symposium.

The September 10 Program, titled Support beyond the 20th anniversary
Subject matter experts, legal professionals and mental health providers will discuss the myriad of issues that still plague the 9/11 community. “The needs of those affected by acts of mass violence can often last a lifetime. Today, more than 83,000 9/11 responders and survivors suffer from serious mental and medical health issues. More than 5,200 have died 9/11-related illnesses,” commented Mary Fetchet, Executive Director of VOICES.
