“I’d like to say we’re putting the pedal down, we’re continuing to work this week and after this week we’ll change things to a working group style.”
The massive search for missing teenager Kiely Rodni will be reduced next week, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office said.
The announcement was made on Monday, 10 days since the 16-year-old went missing after attending a high school party at Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, California on August 6.
“We’re still looking for clues, videos, tips, information to help us put the pieces together and help us figure out where we’re going and how we’re going to continue to search,” Captain Sam Brown said. said in a briefing. “We are moving towards a more limited but ongoing search and rescue effort.”
“Our biggest problem is where are we going and how do we continue to maintain it?” he said after 9,000 hours of work in an inter-agency research effort, by FoxNews.

The search began last week from where his mobile phone was last rung and it has spread steadily to surrounding areas.
Kiely’s SUV has not been located and authorities have found no trace of her since she was last seen at the party.
Additionally, law enforcement says they have yet to locate a witness who actually saw the teen physically leave the area.
Lt. Josh Barnhart of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office told reporters Monday, “I would like to say that we are putting the pedal down, we are continuing to work this week and after this week we will change things to a style working group.”
“That means our resources will continue to move forward, but in a somewhat different way.”

The FBI was also involved, helping to conduct interviews with other revelers and residents of surrounding areas.
Barnhart also addressed reports of resistance from at least one parent who had children at the same party.
“A lot of people came forward and gave us information, but we didn’t encounter very big roadblocks and people who wouldn’t give us information,” Barnhart said. “I think [that] was probably an isolated incident that we were able to work around.”
Meanwhile, a family spokeswoman, Cassie Hebel, said Kiely could navigate and survive in the desert.
“She has more than just the survival skills to come back,” Cassie said Monday. “She was raised in a family that knew how to survive in the outback, in the ‘Back 40s’ as I like to say. That’s where she was raised.”

On Sunday, police shared that Kiely was seen wearing a white and pink sweatshirt with ‘Odd Future’ – a musical group – written on it in a video from ‘earlier in the evening’ at the party she had been at. assisted before his disappearance (above).
Kiely, who was attending a graduation ceremony with hundreds of other young adults near the family campground in Prosser, was last seen around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday August 6 – shortly after texting to her parents, she was going home.
“It is not known if Kiely was wearing the sweatshirt when she was last seen,” police added. “We ask anyone who remembers seeing Kiely that evening to please contact us as we continue our search.”
The information about the sweatshirt comes after the department released a surveillance photo last week taken hours before he disappeared (underneath). At the time, they reported that she was “last seen wearing a black spaghetti strap bodysuit, green Dickies branded pants with a black eyelet belt and black Vans shoes” – as per the photo surveillance taken around 6 p.m. on Friday August 5th.

Kiely’s boyfriend also revealed their last text conversation.
By Fox40Jagger Westfall says they exchanged texts for the last time before Kiely left for a farewell party at Prosser Family Campground.
“And so I was just like, ‘OK. Be safe. Don’t like, do something stupid,'” Jagger told the outlet.
He then said he aired complaints about his day.
“Then at 10:30 p.m. she responded to what I was saying and just said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry you’re going through this.
“And that was the last I heard of her,” Jagger said.
At a press conference on Friday August 12, PIO Angela Musallam confirmed that she located a “potential burial site” the day before – but, after contacting Kiely’s parents, the FBI only “recovered the remains of ‘a dog”.
During the same press conference, Capt. Cam Brown of the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office said that while the last ping from Kiely’s phone came around 12:30 a.m. near Prosser Lake, “that doesn’t mean it’s that’s when the phone stopped ringing. He added: “There are many reasons why these notifications or data points could be lost.”
Police treated the disappearance as a possible kidnapping since Rodni’s car has not yet been found. His vehicle is a silver 2013 Honda CRV with California license plate #8YUR127.
Kiely is described as 5’7″, 115 pounds and has blonde hair with hazel eyes and multiple piercings.
