Columbia Falls Police Department warned a man to drive with an illuminated light bar and four forward-facing lights on his truck on Ninth Street.

A concerned Nucleus Avenue mother reportedly told officers her son was in a restaurant’s men’s restroom when an older man made inappropriate comments about his body. Although it made her uncomfortable, she said there had been no physical contact and was happy with the way management had handled the incident. She didn’t want officers to investigate the situation any further, as she believed the man “would face more serious repercussions from other clients and friends” than from law enforcement.

A sow and two cubs allegedly loaded a woman’s car on Seventh Street, then climbed a tree. It was believed that black bears were heading for a river.

A caller on Fran Lou Park Lane complained about people screaming and playing football on the field behind his house and asked officers to drive through the area and ask them to calm down.

Someone on 14th Avenue was concerned about animal cruelty when he told officers there were dead chickens in a man’s henhouse that did not appear to be injured.

Someone reportedly threatened to smash the windows of a truck on Seventh Street West.

A woman told police her boyfriend brought some of the items reported stolen from her car to her a few weeks ago.

A Second Avenue resident reportedly saw an unknown woman in his backyard with a security camera and thought there was a chance she was still there. Officers searched the yard and found no one.

Someone on Nucleus Avenue claimed that a woman was selling meth in a black Ford Explorer and may have a child with her.

A woman complained that a neighbor was stacking wood against a property line fence and refused to move it. She wanted to know what her options were.

Officers recovered a blue Nike backpack containing fishing supplies and black socks that lay next to a garden fence. The articles have been marked as “well found”.

Someone wanted officers to check if three young people were smoking and vaping on Ninth Street, due to their age.
